Components
AAMS mechanics are organized into modular Actor Components, allowing you to pick and choose which features to include in your game—without the hassle of managing 50+ individual components.
The list below shows examples of the current component breakdown:
Action Component
The Action Component includes all of the standard and ground-based actions in AAMS. These actions include:
- Jump/Double Jump
- Sprint
- Hard Landing
- Dash
- Wall Slide/Wall Jump
- Crouching
- Sliding
- Push Objects
- Dodge/Roll
Adventure Component
The Adventure Component includes all of the adventure traversal-based mechanics in AAMS. This component includes:
- Swimming
- Ladders
- Ziplines
- Grappling Hooks
- Wall Running
- Parachute/Gliders
- Slope Sliding
- Free Falling
- Rope Climb
- Beams
- Narrow Passage
Climb Component
The Climb Component includes all climbing-related mechanics for scaling and traversing over objects. These include:
- Ledge Climbing (Free Hang and Braced)
- Vine Wall Climb
- Vault/Mantling
Interact Component
The Interaction Component handles all interactions in AAMS and includes examples and animations for the following interaction types:

Stats Component
The Stats Component allows you to add stats to your character in seconds. While it’s not limited to the below list, you can quickly add other stats like Strength, Armor, Attack Speed, and more. The component comes with the following examples already set up:
- Health
- Stamina
- Breath
- Stat Alerts
Footstep Component
Set multiple footstep types (bare feet, leather shoes, armored boots, etc.) with custom sounds for each material type (grass, wood, dirt, etc.). Includes multiple sound effects ready to use.
Compass
Quickly add a compass to your character, with two compass types included. The Compass Component also features area notifiers to alert players when they enter a new area of the level.
